Meet Sylvain "Slinky" Girard
Sylvain "Slinky" Girard is the principal inspector for Two Peaks Home Inspections Inc., serving clients throughout the Sea-to-Sky corridor, the Vancouver North Shore, and the lower Sunshine Coast.
Sylvain is a BC Licensed Home Inspector and an associate member in good standing with the Canadian National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (CANachi) and InterNACHI. He received his certification following extensive study at the Carson Dunlop Training Institute — the most comprehensive home inspector training system in North America. He is currently licensed under the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Branch; BC License #55977.
Originally from Montréal, Quebec, Sylvain has called Whistler home since attending the mogul summer ski camp of 1992. He first worked in the hospitality industry before pursuing a career in construction — and over the past decade, he has built deep expertise across the full spectrum of residential and commercial work, from foundations and framing through to high-quality finishing and renovation.
Sylvain also proudly served as a paid-on-call Lieutenant at Whistler Fire and Rescue Service (Spring Creek Fire Hall #3) for 8 years, and held the position of medic on the Whistler Auto Extrication Team. This hands-on safety experience gives him a perspective on fire and structural risk that few inspectors can match.
Becoming a home inspector was a natural evolution — combining his construction knowledge with a genuine commitment to helping clients protect their most important investment.
